Study Programs
Degree programs in Statistics and Operations Research are available at the undergraduate, M.Sc. and Ph. D. levels. There are currently about 65 undergraduate students , 120 M.Sc. students and 20 doctoral students. The department offers a variety of undergraduate programs. Students can take a single major in statistics and operations research or a joint major with another subject.
Single/Joint Major Program
The single major program provides students with a broad background in statistics and operations research, along with a strong background in mathematics. The joint major program enables students to combine an excellent background in quantitative methods with studies in a second field.
Frequent second majors include economics, business, computer science, mathematics and psychology. Students in mathematics can also elect either statistics or operations research as an area of concentration.

M.Sc. Programs
Four M.Sc programs are available:
1. Operations Research and Optimization
2. Statistics and Data Science
3. Biostatistics
4. Statistics and Probability
Most full-time graduate students receive financial support as research assistants, teaching assistants or graders.

Career
Our graduates find jobs in industry, financial institutions, high-tech and bio-tech companies, government offices, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and research units.
Many teach at universities and colleges and others work as private consultants.
