Prof. Eshel Ben-Jacob passed away

With great sorrow and disbelief we announce that Prof. Eshel Ben-Jacob, our dear colleague and friend, passed away unexpectedly this weekend.
Eshel was a productive and extremely creative member of our School for the last 30 years. He made important contributions to physics and other interdisciplinary areas of science, and educated many generations of students.
We all will miss him dearly.
The funeral will take place on Monday, June 8th 2015, at the Even Yehuda Cemetery.
A bus will leave from gate #2 at the University.
Shiva will be held at his sister's house - Bareket Ben-Jacob - 44 Ha'tomer St., Even Yehuda.
