Congratulations to Prof. Joseph Bernstein of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Tel Aviv University and Prof. David Kazhdan of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on being awarded the 2026 Wolf Prize in Mathematics.
The prize was awarded to the two mathematicians for their groundbreaking contributions to representation theory, automorphic forms, and algebraic geometry, and for their central role in the development of geometric representation theory.
The Wolf Prize is considered one of the world's most prestigious international awards in science and the arts. It is awarded annually by the Wolf Foundation to outstanding scientists and artists from around the world in recognition of exceptional achievements and significant
contributions to humanity.
