My field is algorithmic game theory. The field focuses on combining computational problem-solving in economic settings that involve self-interested players. This means that the algorithms used to solve these problems must take the players’ incentives into account and create incentives to cooperate with the algorithm in a way that leads to economically efficient outcomes. In particular, I work on problems in contract design, auctions, and online decision-making.
