Congratulations to Emily Elhacham for her selection to the annual 40 Under 40 List by Globes Magazine
Emily has been selected among the 40 most promising young people in Israel for her work in the field of environmental protection
Emily's path to her scientific career started at the age of 15, when she worked on the development of nanotechnology based sensors for online detection of water pollution.
In recent years, Emily has been working in Prof. Pinhas Alpert group at the Porter School of Environment and Earth Sciences. Her work includes studying the impact of extreme urbanization on the environment and atmosphere.
Emily has also been highly involved in promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education, especially among girls.
For her work, she won national and international awards.
