Postdoctoral Fellows

The School of Physics and Astronomy at Tel Aviv University hosts a few dozens of post-doctoral fellows in all major fields of Physics. Most of our post-doctoral fellows are non-Israelis, coming to Tel Aviv University for a fellowship period of two to three years. Many of them then proceed to academic positions mostly in other countries.

Ph.D. graduates, or current post-doctoral fellows elsewhere, who are interested in a post-doctoral fellowship at Tel Aviv University are invited to visit the websites of the departments:

Main requirements for application:

  • Students who have completed a PhD from a recognized institution of higher learning (in Israel or abroad), or a student bearing certification attesting to the completion of required studies towards such a degree and the submission of a Ph.D. thesis for review

  • No more than five years have passed from the time the doctorate has been approved and the beginning of the fellowship

  • The head of the research team agrees to accept the fellow

  • There is a source of funding for the scholarship
