Congratulations to Prof. Yoram Dagan for receiving the ISF grant for 2023
Prof. Yoram Dagan of the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at the School of Physics and Astronomy
Prof. Yoram Dagan, from the School of Physics and Astronomy, has received a prestigious ISF grant from The Israel Science Foundation for 2023 for his research on Interfaces can exhibit distinct characteristics compared to the materials they comprise. Our laboratory explores novel functionalities that arise at oxide interfaces. Specifically, the MAPATZ project aimed to integrate magnetic and ferroelectric properties at a superconducting interface, while also establishing a quantum wire at the interface between two oxide layers. This quantum wire features a unique coupling between the spin and orbital motion of electrons, along with other correlated effects like magnetism and potentially superconductivity.
