Abstract:
In this talk, I will address the current status of 'origin of life' research concerning soft-panespermia theories and the investigation of planetary systems formation. I will focus on the role of UV radiation as an energy source driving important processes such as the photoevaporation of protoplanetary disks or the ices chemistry. I will also address the status of current or in-planning UV astronomical facilities to investigate the origin of life.
