Physics Colloquium: Absolute Molecular Handedness

Abstract:

Absolute molecular structure includes handedness and is the basis of modern biology. The determination of absolute handedness is critical and it is to this date a non-trivial task. The traditional methods will be described as well as novel experimental methods which test the reliability of the traditional results and complement their findings.
