June 2022: Avraham elected Dean of the Faculty of Medicine

Congratulations to Prof. Karen Avraham, Edmond J. Safra member, who was elected Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at TAU.
Prof. Avraham is the first woman appointed to the position.
Prof. Karen Avraham serves as Vice Dean for pre-clinical subjects at the Faculty of Medicine and is a researcher specializing in genomics with an emphasis on deafness.
Her research deals with understanding the genetic basis and gene therapy of hereditary deafness or hearing loss.
Prof. Karen Avraham: "Medicine is undergoing a transformation, both in terms of research and education. We will continue to be at the forefront of medical research and I am very much looking forward to leading our faculty to breakthroughs."
Prof. Avraham replaces Prof. Ehud Grossman and her position will begin on September 1 2022.
