Congratulations to Dr. Uri Ben-David who won Rector's award for innovation and creativity in teaching 2023.
Dr. Uri Ben-David, Edmond J. Safra affiliate (Medicine) was one of ten faculty members who won the Rector's award for innovation and creativity in teaching for 2023.
The Rector's prize is awarded to outstanding researchers for excellence in research, teaching and active participation in the university's academic life. Among other things, the winners received the award for using virtual reality technology and digital notebooks in academic teaching, producing podcasts as an assignment for students, a project in establishing a start-up, and more.
Dr. Uri Ben David won the prize for teaching the course "Molecular Fundamentals of Medicine". The course is taught in a hybrid manner using the "reversed classroom" method. The theoretical content is delivered entirely through pre-recorded presentations, and the face-to-face classes are dedicated to practice and active application of the material taught in a peer-instruction model.
