March 2023: Baraz and Shapira awarded Pfizer-Wexler scholarships
Congratulations to Avi Baraz and Guy Shapira, Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellows, who were awarded the Pfizer-Wexler scholarships.
Avi Baraz, Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellow (Obolski lab, Medicine) and Guy Shapira, Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellow (Shomron lab, Medicine) won PhD Scholarships from the Pfizer-Wexler Foundation for development and progress for biomedical research at the Faculty of Medicine at TAU. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding students undertaking research in fields related to mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human disease.
Avi Baraz won the scholarship for his research titled "Estimating the collateral damage of cefuroxime and ceftriaxone by using electronic medical records".
Guy Shapira won the scholarship for his research titled "The evolutionary dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 within and between hosts".
