Postdoctoral Fellows - Checklist for day of arrival

Here are a few things to be taken care of as soon as possible:

 

  1. Opening a bank account: please make sure have with you:

    • A working mobile phone (you can purchase a sim card when you arrive)

    • Your TIN number for the bank forms (tax paying identification number)

    • The Tel Aviv acceptance letter

    • Your passport

    • An additional identification card with your photo.


      These are the banks that are closest to the dorms and offer to open bank accounts to foreign citizens:

      • Hapoalim bank, branch on 33 Aba Akhime'ir st. 33,ask to speak to Ms.Galina Dubrinski. Opening hours:

        Sunday - 8:30am–1:30pm

        Monday - 8:30am–1pm, 4pm–6:30am

        Tuesday - 8:30am–1:30pm

        Wednesday - 8:30am–1pm, 4pm–6:30am

        Thursday - 8:30am–1:30pm

        Friday - Closed

        Saturday - Closed

  9. Academic Travel: For future academic travel, you will be required to fill out forms one month prior to the trip through:

    Ms. Daniella Gabrielovitch-Margalit - Astrophysics Department.

    Ms. Yael Ben Moshe - Particle Physics and Condensed Matter Departments.
