The School of Chemistry Congratulates Dr. Barak Hirshberg, one of the top 5 finalists in the Dream Chemistry Award competition organized by the Czech and Polish Academies of Sciences
Dr. Barak Hirshberg from the Physical Chemistry Department
Dr. Barak Hirshberg is one of the top 5 finalists in the Dream Chemistry Award for the year 2023, held by the Czech and Polish Academies of Sciences.
Dr. Hirshberg presented a project titled "A Computational Molecular Sculptor". The project deals with designing molecular crystals with customized properties using machine learning algorithms.
The annual Dream Chemistry Award competition, co-organized by the Czech Academy and the Polish Academy of Sciences, recognizes young scientists who aspire to fulfil their dream of solving fundamental problems in chemistry or chemistry-related disciplines with bold ideas and innovative solutions.
This years' event took place on 4-5 of December 2023 at Prague.
The award is financially supported by the IOCB Tech Foundation.
