Abstract: 

I will review the recent progress in deriving the constraints on scattering amplitudes based on positivity (unitarity) and analyticity (causality).

 

I will explain what is the complete set of constraints obeyed by the forward amplitude, discuss generalisations beyond the forward limit and applications to quantum field theories.
