Special Astronomy & Astrophysics Seminar: Relativistic Radiation Mediated Shocks

Abstract: 

High energy events as GRB or SNe can cause shocks with relativistic energies of around electron mass. 
These shocks have certain special properties due to the high energy and relativistic effects. 
In the lecture we will present the structure of these shocks with an analytical model. 
Next we will discuss and find the behavior of the shock as radiation escapes and the shock breaks out. 
Finally we will show calculations made for observational values of such a phenomenon.
