Ilan joined the team as a post-doc fellow (September 2016 until August 2017) after submitting his Ph.D. to the Hebrew University. Ilan`s thesis was dealing with computational issues in judgment aggregation and social choice and with decision theory & game theory in the presence of extreme ambiguity. During his post-doctoral year, Ilan mainly worked with prof. YIshay Mansour and with prof. Michal Feldman and her team regarding projects dealing with auctions when there is a possibility of postponing some details regarding the product to the end, utilizing symmetry in principal-experts systems (ongoing work), facility location mechanisms under constraints on the input or the output, and prophet & secretary with overbooking problems and the implications to online auction frameworks.
After leaving, Ilan moved to a position in Kyuhsu University, Japan. In addition to continuing collaborations with members in Tel-Aviv, Ilan works on facility location mechanisms, resiliency, and perturbed social choice and judgment aggregation.
